The Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, introduced in 1956, combine moulded plywood shells with upholstered cushions to produce a relaxed, refined seating form. Designed to convey comfort and craftsmanship, it remains one of the most recognisable lounge chairs of the twentieth century.
