one-sixth
project overview
-
One-Sixth is a daily release series where iconic modern chairs are recreated at one-sixth scale as 3D-printable models. Each day, a new chair is researched, modelled, printed, and released as a free STL file.
-
The project uses miniature reconstruction as a way to study the geometry, structure, and logic of important furniture designs. Each model reflects both the physical characteristics of the original object and the constraints of 3D printing.
-
Every release includes a printable STL, a short making-of video, and a brief overview of the chair’s background. The aim is to make design history accessible while creating a growing archive of accurately scaled miniatures.
