Designed in 1955, the Coconut Chair reduces the lounge chair to a shallow, triangular shell supported by a minimalist steel frame. George Nelson developed the form to offer an open, relaxed posture within a simple geometric structure. This One-Sixth miniature retains the characteristic shell proportions.
